So it's the second week of September. Labor Day has passed and you're now rekindling your relationship with textbooks, work and your normal routine.
Summer 2014 is a blur for me and it just ended. While it went by fast it was filled with many ups and quite a few interesting turns but definitely nothing short on material. While I had some potential "walk ons" walk in and out of my life (more details to follow in another post) I am now fully invested in one first round draft pick, myself.
It didn't take long between switching out my flip flops for work-appropriate flats before some "get right back boys" tried to do just that. And just like that Cuffing Season has commenced. It might easily be the single largest idiotic thing in my opinion but it sure is true to the game in every sense.
As I have alluded to in previous posts I stand firm in my "Do a Not Double Back" policy and love seeing all the clowns crawl out of the woodworks as if on cue. Whether you choose to partake or not, don't lose sight of the timing of it all. If he can easily "cuff" you when the temperature drops he's probably not all that he's cracked up to be. Potential isn't everything.
I think I'll take myself as the first overall pick. I rather deal with my year long shenanigans versus a seasonal opportunist.
Choose wisely, you're on the clock.
